Apple quietly released iTunes 10.2.1 today; just about a week after 10.2 was released – in preparation for iPad 2 that’s going to be available at US Apple Stores on March 11. Meanwhile, @musclenerd had confirmed on his Twitter that iTunes 10.2.1 is also safe for jailbreaking:
“Today’s 10.2.1 iTunes is safe for JB+UL, like last week’s 10.2 (fast release!) Even keeps newhttp://is.gd/qv6wpv feature” – @musclenerd
Note: AFC2 is an acronym for AFC (Apple File Connection) version 2 which is a service that runs on everyiPhone / iPod, which iTunes uses to exchange files with the device. It is jailed to the directory /private/var/mobile/Media, which is on the second (non-OS) partition. (courtesy of theiphonewiki) He also confirmed that it still supports downgrading to earlier firmwares (IPSW) as long as you have your SHSH saved on Cydia (Saurik’s server).
